Artist Statement

My personal approach towards color involves theory and intuition. The theory is simple: contrast, similarity, space, form and movement. I usually mix colors together directly on the painting surface. This allows more exploration to take place as the colors are in motion. This also allows direct contact with my energy so that my movements are translated into color. Being intuitive about my choices becomes a process of self-discovery.
